Amelia Visits

Daniel's kindergarten class has a pet bear named Amelia. Each weekend one student gets to bring her home and document the activities they do, write in a journal, and then present it to the class the following week. This weekend was our turn, finally.

The very first thing Daniel wanted to do with Amelia was draw (of course).

The boys didn't have school on Friday. Dad took Josh golfing and I took them to the mall to look at a Lego exhibit. It was Lego Americana. They had historical buildings and sites made out of Legos all over the mall. It was pretty neat.

They also had an area where the kids could build their own Lego car and race them down a ramp. Daniel spent most of his time designing and building....

...while Patrick had me make him a simple car and spent most of the time racing it down the ramp.

That evening, Daniel showed Amelia how to brush her teeth.

Saturday was another day full of sports. Amelia got to watch Daniel play soccer, and bundled up to watch Josh play baseball and then football (I didn't take any pictures of those).

She also enjoyed a lunch at Chick Fil a.

Sunday became quite the rainy day so Josh's baseball was cancelled which meant we had the entire day with no plans (that hasn't happened for a while). So we made a fun day of it. We had lunch at Firehouse subs...

...took Dad and Josh to see the Legos at the mall...

..and then headed over to watch the movie Home. It is pretty cute.

Monday morning I had a meeting at a coffee shop so the boys tagged along. I'm sure they will say it was loads of fun. They got to drink hot chocolate and watch a movie on my phone. All my friends were impressed with how well they were sitting (and so was I).

I hope you had a fun visit Amelia. Come back any time.

Easter

We started the Easter celebration dying eggs on Saturday after all the sporting events. The boys really got into it. Even this guy.

Pretty cute if I do say so myself.

The boys woke-up bright and early on Sunday, and failed to wake us up, so we don't have any pictures of the basket hunting. They had found them by the time we got downstairs. But we were able to watch them find the eggs before church.

We didn't have any games today so after church we enjoyed a little down time before heading over to the Weldon's for a nice dinner and some good conversations.

Happy Easter!
