Halloween

The Halloween festivities continued with the Trick or Treat Street at the local high school. Patrick wanted to dress up as Kylo Ren this time.

The high school puts on a fun time and the kids always end up getting a ton of candy.

Then, on Halloween day, the kids had parties at school.

They did some fun crafts.

And played some games. Then had a parade outside for the parents.

Then the boys got to go trick or treating with Dad.

They had a scary good time.

Fall Baseball

Josh's baseball team decided to play in the fall league again this season. They use this season to play up to the age they will play in spring to get used to the new rules and field sizes. It helps them for the spring but also means they are playing against kids two years older than most of the team. It makes for an interesting season.

They also got new uniforms and changed their name to the Warriors Barnstormers.

Look at the size of the other team compared to our kids. Yikes!

Great fall season Barnstormers. We can't wait to see what happens next spring!

Daniel and Mom's Running Series

We discovered a racing series that we wanted to try out this fall. It was six races and could either be progressive (starting at 1 mile and working your way up to 6) or a set of 6 5ks. I didn't feel like running more than 3 miles at the end so we decided to do the six 5ks. It started in the summer and we had a race every two to three weeks.

The first few races were a little rough. I had to pull him to the finish the first time.

Then we started getting better. We even placed in our age groups for a lot of the races.

After the first two, since it was the same route every time, I even let Daniel run on his own, which he loved.

In one race he even placed 2nd overall for all males in the race. All of them!

The last race, my sister Becca, was in town and wanted to run with us. I'll just pretend that her keeping pace with me even though she never trained at high altitude doesn't make me feel out of shape.

We got medals for running in all six races. Daniel had a personal best of 27:36.85. Much faster than any of my races.

Broncos Trick-or-Treat Street

A highlight event as a Broncos Bunch member is their Trick-or-Treat Street. You get to go trick-or-treating through the stadium, even their locker room. It's really fun. We got to share it with the Allemans this year. I hope they enjoyed it as much as we do.

They even have a photo-op set up with their Super Bowl trophies (all of them were in attendance this time).

And we made it out to the fun zone this year. Lots of things for the kids to do. Super fun!

Warriors Steel Football

Josh played tackle football with Warriors Steel again this year. Since they made it to the Super Bowl last year, they moved up a division. They had a rough year playing against some talented teams.

It was definitely a learning experience for him. Go Warriors!

Allemans Visit

My sister, Becca, and her kids, along with Grandma and Grandpa Strutt, came out for a visit. We did a lot while they were out including a corn maze, Josh's football game, the Broncos Bunch trick or treat street, and ran a race. It was a busy weekend but filled with lots of fun and quality cousin time.

The trip started with an outing to the Chatfield Corn Maze.

It is setup so you find six animals throughout the maze and then find the exit. We only found five this year.

And lost Cora and Grandma halfway through the maze.

They also had a jumping pillow and barrel train.

I think the kids enjoyed the day.

Here are some cute pictures of Esther since she wasn't in the other ones. This was the first time she met Uncle Joe. Thanks for visiting, Allemans!!
