Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we spent the week in Des Moines with the Weldon/Linden crew. The boys had the entire week off, so we got a lot of quality time with everyone.
Including Grandpa Linden.

There was a lot of great food....

...plenty of games...

....Black Friday planning....

....and lots of good conversation.

And of course, plenty of games.

We even made it to (and out of) an escape room (which may or may not have happened due to my crazy competitive nature. 😬)

Just in the nick of time

I also was able to attend a special girl's 3rd birthday party on Saturday.

Happy Birthday, Autumn!!

Daniel is 9!

This boy is 9!

For his birthday this year, he invited a friend to battle at Dart Wars. Of course, his brothers got in on the fun too.

Then he requested dinner at Hu Hot.

Where we got amores for dessert. Yum!

Entertaining themselves

I don't think he likes it.

Happy Birthday, Daniel. I hope you have a great year being 9!

Fall Out Boy Concert

Josh loves the band Fall Out Boy. So when I saw tickets for sale on Groupon, Joe and I decided this would be a great first concert. Then Joe ended up busy that weekend so it turned into a Mom/Josh date night. I got a babysitter for the other two, stopped at Arby's for dinner on the way down, and saw Fall Out Boy with Josh.

The stage set up
Our seats (almost right in front of the wall)

After watching one opening act, Jayden Smith (I think it would have been awesome if his dad was the opening act, because I'm old), we took a walk around the Pepsi Center to get some swag (and avoid all the fans partaking in Colorado's pot laws during Black Bear's performance).

Then the band came on.

The stage was cool. At one point the end towards us started to raise into the air where they performed a few songs there.

I think Josh learned going to concerts with Mom is very embarrassing with all her singing and dancing but I think he still enjoyed it.

Ultimate Dinosaurs

The boys didn't have school today so we took a trip to the Denver Museum to see the new dinosaur exhibit.

It was fun seeing a new exhibit. Plus, the boys got to dig out fossils.

We also made it to the Exhibition Health exhibit (one of Josh's favorite).

Thanks for a fun day, boys!

Sandlot Fall Ball

Josh's old baseball team split up this year so we had to find a new one. After a few tryouts this summer, we found a place on a Sandlot Fall Ball team.

Faithful Fans

They had a tough season but learned a lot.

Josh got a lot of playing time at new positions like 1st and 2nd. And got a lot of practice pitching.

Sliding into home after a pickle.

The team had their end of season party at Smash Burger.

Thanks for a fun season, Coach Sean!

Mother/Son Dart Wars

The boys' school hosts a Mother/Son night every year. This year, they turned the school into a Nerf Battle Zone in the gym and library. They split it up by age groups and had two options so I took the big boys first and then had Dad bring the little one for a battle.

The big boys were in the gym so there was plenty of room to run around.

The little ones were in the library since they took up less space.

It was so much fun!

(I may have gotten into it a little more than others. Competitive much?)
