Coloring Easter Eggs

We dyed Easter eggs on Saturday. The boys really got into it this year.

Here they are waiting for the tablets to disolve. It was a little too long of a wait.

Then they started coloring the eggs, which for them meant drop the whole egg into every color possible.

They started out nice, then ended up a mish-mash of colors.

They enjoyed it though.

Patrick helped out with his egg, too.

 How cute is this guy!

Here are the results.

The Croods Movie

While my mom was in town, we took the boys to see the movie "The Croods". It was a pretty cute movie.

I was hoping Patrick would take a nap during the movie but he stayed awake the whole time and was a good baby.

Daniel's favorite part of going to a movie theater are the snacks. That boy associates everything with food or toys.

A Snowstorm in Pictures

So, the snowfall wasn't nearly as big as they thought it would be but I thought I would post these photos anyway.

These were taken at 8am.

This is at 9:30am.

This is at 1pm.

And 5:15pm, after the snow finally stopped.

We got out to shovel the driveway on Sunday. I had some good helpers. I hope they never figure out this is hard work and not fun.

Update: here are pictures from Thursday morning (although it looked like this Wednesday, too). I love Colorado weather!

Josh Turns 7!

I can't believe he is 7 already! Seven years as a mom. Crazy!

I like to make birthdays a big deal so we did a lot of celebrating. It started on Saturday with a dinner out with just the five of us. Josh got to pick and choose Red Robin.

So we enjoyed a nice dinner out and Josh was serenaded by the wait staff and provided a nice sundae.

Then, after that big ice cream, we went home and enjoyed cake.

Per Josh's request, the frosting was actually flavored orange. It was pretty good.

Then, on the morning of his birthday, Daddy went into work late so he could make him a special breakfast. Josh requested a breakfast sandwich made with pancakes instead of english muffins. I think he enjoyed them. He had two.

After breakfast we opened presents. This boy is so spoiled.

Patrick was even enjoying the unwrapping.

We finished the birthday celebration with dinner at Outback (Josh's request) with Tom, Shelley, and Alex. I hope he enjoyed his day. Thank you everyone for the calls and cards. It really made it special.

Snow Much Fun!

We had a very snow filled weekend (which was also nice because it meant pajama day!). On Saturday we took the boys sledding at Josh's school. They have a pretty good hill and the boys really enjoyed it. Patrick even went, although, he didn't seem to excited either way

Then, Sunday we woke to more snow and it was still coming down. The boys wanted to help Daddy shovel the driveway (I wonder how long that enjoyment will last) and made this fort.

They had a blast playing in it. And this was just after the first time they shoveled. (We are currently hanging out at home Monday morning as school is on a delayed start.) They next time I get a blizzard warning on my phone, maybe I should believe it.

We Have a Tooth

While one boy is loosing teeth, the other one is getting teeth (well, at least one tooth). And it only took him eight months. That is about two months longer than either of his brothers. Although if his mouth is as small as his brother's, the longer he keeps those baby teeth, the better.
