Kindergarten Meet 'n Greet

The boys' school held a Kindergarten Meet 'n Greet this year for incoming Kindergarteners. That meant Patrick!

They started in the library for story time from a Kindergarten teacher.

Then we took a tour of the school and ended with a snack and time to play with friends on the playground.

I think he is excited. Good luck next year, Kindergartener!

Daniel's Stitches

While playing at the playground during one of Josh's baseball games, Daniel slipped and split his head on a ladder. Lucky for us, Josh's baseball coach is a PA and his office was just down the street. So Daniel sat with ice on his head until the game was over. Then Dad drove him over to the office where he was stitched up (after two doses to numb his head when they found the cut to be larger than thought. Ouch!).

I guess Josh isn't the only one with head wounds anymore.

Thank you, Coach Eric!

Easter 2017

Easter Sunday the boys woke up bright and early to go search for their baskets and eggs.

Then they sorted their goodies (per mom) to share later.

Then we headed to church and dinner with the Weldons for a fun Easter Sunday.

Happy Easter everyone!

Spring Break 2017

We had a low key Spring Break this year. A lot of hanging around home and few outings. One outing was to the Hammond Candy Factory. They give free tours and then you can purchase candy afterwards. Yum!

You get to see into the factory while they make the candy. It's very neat to see.

Plus you get free candy when your done. Win-win!

We also made it out to see the new Beauty and the Beast movie. It was a hit!

I always enjoy a week off of school. I think the boys do too.

St. Patrick's Day 5k

We signed up for the St. Patrick's Day 5k in Highlands Ranch. It was a good run.

We found these guys after the race.

We got socks to go with our shirts for this race.

We are starting to get quite the shirt collection.

Josh's 11th Birthday

Our oldest is 11! Wow! This year he invited his friend, Aaron, for dinner and games at Dave and Busters and a sleep over.

We started with dinner and then scattered to play a ton of games. The other boys enjoyed it too.

We ended at home for cake and a sleep over.

On his actual birthday, he had baseball (of course).

Happy 11th Birthday buddy! We hope you have a fantastic year.

School Valentine's Parties

Every year, the boys' school has Valentine's Parties at school. They call them a Party with a Purpose and use them to have the kids do something good for the community.

I try to have the kids reuse their Valentine "boxes" each year but Daniel's broke last year so he needed to make a new one. His choice was the Death Star.

Here is how it turned out.

In Josh's room, in addition to their charity, they also played games, like this one where they had to blow q-tips through straws into bowls.

Daniel's class decorated capes made out of t-shirts to give to the kids at the hospital.

Happy Valentine's Day!
