Football Saturday

Ahh, college football. How I have missed you. We started the day with doughnuts and College Gameday. Then had football games on the whole day. It was great!

Unfortunately, Dad was out of town at the game, so the boys were not too interested in watching any football. Instead, they painted their tow trucks. It did keep them busy for thirty minutes, so that's nice.

I love football!

Batter Up!

Josh had his second baseball game today. It went much better than last week. They are definitely improving. And Josh got to show off his pitching skills.

They are on the right track and really enjoying themselves.

Go Mud Hens!

Touchdown!

We started into fall football season today. Football Saturday, baseball Sunday. A busy fall. Dad officially retired from coaching so Daniel has a new coach this season. He is great with the kids. The team is called the Sharks (which Josh thinks is cool).

Daniel scored a touchdown on the second drive of the game. He was so proud.

Here's a cute fan.

Here's to a good season. Go Sharks!

Fall Baseball

We are fully into fall sports now, which makes for a busy schedule (practice Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights and games on both Saturdays and Sundays. I love Mondays!)

Josh started baseball first. What a difference a league makes. He went from being the best team during summer to a very rough first game in the competitive league. It is now kid pitch and our boys have some things to learn. I guess that is why they get two practices a week.

It is on a real baseball field so they get to sit in a dugout, which is fun.

And Josh had some good fans.

It's hard to get a picture through the fence. It's going to be a good season. We have already seen progress. Let's go Mud Hens!

Touch-a-truck

On Saturday we attended the second annual Touch-a-truck event. Which should really be called, Boy's Heaven". They have a bunch of trucks, cars, tractors, etc, parked at a parking lot and you are allowed to climb in and around all of them. We spent a good hour and a half there walking around.

They liked the milk truck (with chocolate milk samples)...

....a dump truck....

....a police truck (they even got to climb in the back and thought that was cool. We are in trouble.)

They even had a blood mobile, although as far as the boys were concerned, it was a motorhome.

...and a limo...

....and of course, a semi-truck....

....pulling a piece of equipment.

They were able to dump trash into a garbage truck and smash it up. Very exciting!

And clean the streets.

It is a perfect event for boys. Till next year!

1st Day of School (part 2)

Daniel started Pre-K today. He was super excited and very disappointed when he did not get to start school with Josh on Monday. He has the same teachers and room as last year and a lot of the same friends. He is very excited to play everyday.

Last year before Kindergarten. He's getting so big!

1st Day of School (part 1)

Today Josh started 2nd grade. He is getting so big. He was so excited for school to start. We met his teacher last week and dropped off all his supplies so all we had to do was bring an empty backpack and a water bottle.

(I did not plan their outfits)

Here's to a great school year!
