After a good night's sleep for everyone, we headed out late morning to finish the drive to Walt Disney World. We stopped to add a state to our list.

Then after a quick stop at Walmart for some groceries, we made it.
In lieu of plane tickets, I thought we could upgrade our hotel so we stayed at the Art of Animation Resort. It was great. The kids loved it.
We had booked the Cars Family Suite. It was prefect for our long weekend trip.
Of course the boys loved the Cars themes. Disney is great with their theme rooms. They really pay attention to details. Dad loved the mechanics tool box for the dressers.
The bathrooms had a carwash theme with bubbles in the shower...
....and signs and lights.
The most exciting part about the room were the sleeping arrangements. The two big boys slept in beds that were hiding. They loved every night when we would pull them out.

Mom and Dad's room with a door you could close to keep the rooms seperate. It was great.
The very fist thing the boys wanted to do when we go there was go swimming. So we dropped off our stuff, changed into suits and headed down to the pools. There were three pools at this hotel but we opted for the zero entry one in the middle. After a quick pizza lunch, we headed over to the pool.
The big boys loved swimming in the big pool while Patrick loved the splash pad. He spent most of his time there.
The big boys would come over and join him every once in a while.
After swimming we washed up and went exploring around the hotel. The Art of Animation resort is made up of three different sets of buildings each with a different theme. We were staying in the cars side so everything looked like Radiator Springs.
The largest pool was in the middle of the Finding Nemo buildings.
Then we walked through the Lion King area....
...and finally the Little Mermaid buildings which had the last pool.
The boys loved playing around all the different displays. It really was a cool hotel.
We even saw a few lizards running around. They were tiny.
After our walking tour, we headed over to the Contemporary Resort for dinner at Chef Mickeys.
It was perfect for the boys. It was an all you can eat buffet and they had characters walking around. They came right up to the table so you didn't even have to move. The boys loved it. Josh and Patrick had all the macaroni they could eat and Daniel enjoyed the sushi. Plus they got to meet Pluto, Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Minnie. They were in heaven.
Patrick was very excited for dessert.

It was a successful first day. We managed to wipe out the boys so they just laid down and fell right asleep. I hope they can survive the next few days of fun.
